Welcome to MACRO's homepage
MACRO is a research group from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) focused on mechatronics, control, and robotics. The group is composed of researchers, graduate and undergraduate students from the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
Congratulations to our most recent MS, Mariana de Paula Assis Fonseca, who defended her thesis entitled "Modelagem e Controle Hierárquico de Corpo Completo de Um Robô Humanóide Utilizando A Álgebra de Quatérnios Duais" (Whole-body modeling and hierarchical control of a humanoid robot using dual quaternion algebra) under supervision of prof. Bruno Vilhena Adorno.
Ms. Mariana Fonseca will continue her studies on humanoid robotics and will pursue a PhD under supervision of Prof. Bruno Adorno and Prof. Philippe Fraisse.

Congratulations to Brenner Santana Rego, who defended his Master Thesis entitled "Path Tracking Control of a Suspended Load using a Tilt-Rotor UAV", and to Daniel Neri Cardoso, who defended his Master Thesis entitled "Adaptive Control Strategies for Improved Forward Flight of a Tilt-Rotor UAV", both under supervision of Prof. Guilherme Raffo. Brenner and Daniel will continue his studies as PhD candidates at MACRO. Great Job!
