This is a simple tutorial to teach how to start to use the SVN Tortoise for MACRO projects.

Download SVN Tortoise

First, download the SVN Tortoise client here.

Getting Project repository

After download the SVN Tortoise, you need to get the repository of your MACRO project.

Fist, go SourceForge and log in with your credentials. Then go to your project site. This link contains all projects from MACRO.

Example:

If your project is the Popeye, go to Popeye or just click in the Popeye in the MACRO page.

In the project page, go to code.

Copy the Read/Write access line from svn.code until /code/.

In your computer, create a folder to hold the SVN repository. Click with the right button in the folder that you have created and then in the SVN Checkout. Paste the line that you have copied before in 'URL of repository'. Then click in 'OK'. The repository will be copy to you folder.

After this, you will have three folders inside you folder, and all of them will be with a green mark.

Bring it up to date

To update your repository, you ust need to click with the right button in your folder and then click in SVN Update.

Commit your changes

If you have made changes to your repository and want to bring it to the central repository, you just need to click with the right button in your folder and then click in SVN Commit... .
